Corn Bread Pie

Ingrients & Directions


1 lb Ground beef
1 lg Chopped onion
1 cn Tomato soup
2 c Water
1 ts Salt; 3/4 tsp. pepper
1 tb Chili powder; opt.
1/2 c Chopped green pepper
1 cn Whole kernel corn drained
1 Box; (8 Oz.) corn bread mix

Brown the beef and onion in a skillet. Add the soup, water, seasonings,
corn and green pepper. Mix well and allow to simmer for 15 minutes. Grease
a casserole dish and fill with mixture about 3/4 full, leaving room for the
corn bread topping. Make the corn bread according to directions, and pour
over top of the mixture.

Don’t be surprised when the topping disappears it will rise during the
baking and form a good layer of corn bread. Bake at 400 degrees for about
20 minutes.
