Ingrients & Directions


1/2 pt Water
12 oz Sugar
4 Apples
4 oz Butter
8 oz Puff pastry

Peel, core and quarter the apples. Take a deep frying pan and use as a
template to cut out the pastry.

Heat butter in the pan and add the sugar, then stir until the sugar is
melted into the butter.

Neatly arrange the apple quarters, peel side down. Do not stir. Place the
pastry on top of the pan and bake in the oven at 190C for 15 minutes.

Carefully turn out on to a plate, dust with icing sugar and serve with
vanilla ice cream.
