Herman Sourdough Biscuits

Ingrients & Directions


—–irwin solomon (jjgf65a- 1 c Herman starter
1 c All purpose flour 5 tb Oil or grease (lard; bacon
1 ts Baking powder Fat; chicken fat)
1/2 ts Baking soda

Heat oven to 450 deg. Mix flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Add
starter and oil. Knead 10 times on a floured surface. Pat to 3/4″
thickness. Cut in rounds, pkace on cookie sheet, and bake at 450 deg.
for 10 minutes. Makes 8 to 12 biscuits.
