Ingrients & Directions


2 lb Gala Apples (peeled, cored, 1/2 c Sugar
-and quartered 1 Piece shortcrust dough OR
4 tb Unsalted Butter Ready made pie dough

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
2. In an oven proff skillet, combine butter, sugar and apple pieces
and cook over medium high heat for about 15 min, until the butter and
sugar mixture begins to carmalize.
3. Place the pastry dough over the apples, tucking the edges along
the rim of the skillet. Bake for 30 mins until the crust is golden
brown. 4. Remove the tart from the oven and place a flat serving
platter over the skillet. Invert the pan and slowly remove the baking
dish. Serve warm or at room temperature on its own or with ice cream.

NOTE: A good accompaniement is a sparkling wine or Champagne.
