1 Pie crust; 9″, unbaked
-CRUMBS-
1 1/2 c Flour; all-purpose 1 ts Cinnamon
2 tb Butter pn Salt
1/2 c Brown sugar; packed
FILLING
1/2 c Molasses 1 ts Baking soda
1/2 c Boiling water 1/4 ts Ground ginger
** To Make the Crumbs: Combine all the crumb ingredients together in
a large bowl until the mixture resembles large crumbs. Set aside.
** To Make the Filling: Preheat the oven to 350?F.
Combine the molasses and water together in a bowl. Stir in the
baking soda and ginger.
Mix in 2/3 of the crumb mixture with the filling mixture and pour
into the pie shell. Sprinkle the remaining crumbs on top.
Bake until golden brown, about 30 minutes.
